Description
Herts Welcomes Syrian Families (HWSF) is a network formed to help implement the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Relocation (VPR) scheme in Hertfordshire. Members include the Peace and Justice group at St Andrews Church in Hertford, other faith groups, individuals, and Amnesty Groups across Hertfordshire.
Aims:
To urge local and County Councillors to accept Refugees under the SVPS
To welcome and support these refugees when they arrive
To support the County by finding practical solutions e.g. identifying suitable accommodation, identifying individuals and organisations who have appropriate skills to offer and fundraising.
