No Second Night Out aims to help people who find themselves sleeping rough for the first time. Following a call from rough sleepers or thouse call on their behalf to the the central number, regional outreach teams respond and try to find clients at a pre-arranged location. They are taken to a centre where they get temporary accommodation, their needs are assessed and an offer is made which seeks to prevent them returning to homelessness. This may include helping rough sleepers access support and accommodation. Referrals to No Second Night Out can also be made through their website. While No Second Night Out will try to respond to all referral, they cannot guarentee this. If possible, give NSNO a phone number for the rough sleeper so that outreach teams can contact them.
